Central Kolkata's main terminal for north Bengal and suburban lines, with North, South and Main sections. Being mid-city, cabs from Sealdah reach most of Kolkata in 20–35 minutes.

Howrah's quieter terminal, increasingly used for long-distance trains to Mumbai, Chennai and Odisha. Fewer taxis wait here, so a pre-booked cab saves a long wait.

The Chitpur terminal serves trains to Bangladesh (Maitree Express), Bihar and the north-east. It sits in north Kolkata, a short hop from BT Road and the airport corridor.

A major Howrah-side junction for trains heading south and west. Handy for anyone travelling on to Kharagpur, Digha or the Kona Expressway corridor.

The interchange closest to Kolkata Airport, connecting suburban rail with the Metro. A cab from here reaches the airport terminal in roughly 15 minutes.
